As a foremost private art collection in the region built up over the last two decades, it comprises about 1,500 paintings of more than 135 Indonesian, Chinese, Singaporean and European artists . It features a large number of Indonesian masters such as Raden Sarief Bustaman Saleh, Basoeki Abduallah, Lee Man Fong, S Sudjojono , Affandi, Hendra Gunawan, and Indo- European artists such as Walter Spies, Emil Rizek, Gerard Adolfs, W G Hofker, Le Mayeur, Rudolf Bonnet , Rolland Strasser and Theo Meier.

There are also modern Chinese artists like Wu Guanzhong, Pan Yuliang, Xu Beihong, Zao Wouki and San Yu, as well as Europeans from late 19 th to 20 th century: French masters Jean Baptiste Camille Corot and Henri Fantin-Latour, Dutch artist Jan Sluyters and the Dutch expressionist painter, Karel Appel and Amedeo Modigliani. Singaporean artists who feature in the collection are Chen Wen Hsi, Cheong Soo Pieng and Georgette Chen, three of Singapore 's foremost pioneer artists as well as Siew Hock Meng.
